Slightly Suspicious

What's your question?

I have a friend who I am really close to and is always there for me, but lately I feel like I can't really trust them. Its nothing serious, I just fell like they'll tell me whatever I want to hear to feel better at that moment, I appreciate that they are there for me but I don't know when to trust them.

Mr. Bobcat:

Dear Slightly Suspicious,
I bet you feel like you should trust them no matter what, but if your gut is telling you that they are just telling you what you want to hear, they might not be the best friend. A good thing to do, maybe, is just go to them one-on-one and ask them if they are telling you what you want to hear. If you can tell that they aren't being completely honest, then maybe it's time to find a better and more trustworthy friend :) It's good to have good communication with your friend!
