Our 7th, 8th, and 9th grade orchestra had their second trimester concert yesterday! They did great on all of their songs. There were also a couple of 7th grade chamber groups, and they were amazing! Great job Bobcats!

This trimesters choir concert was like nothing I've ever see. The normal choir class sung "To the Sky", "Homeward Bound", and when they sung "Take Me Home, Country Roads" they had the guitar class accompany them. The select choir sung "Scarborough Fair", "Vuelie", and "Shenandoah". There were two group solos that sung "When She Loved Me" and "Once Upon a December". There were also two solos that sung "Empty Chairs at Empty Tables" and "Evangeline". To close off the night Mrs. Keppner combined both choirs to sing "You Will Be Found" which was the most beautiful moment of the night. By: Talia Cherrington and Hanna Mecham
On Tuesday the 27th the 5th and 6th graders from the middle school came to the Jr. High auditorium and performed. Both grades each performed a couple of songs each, and then they sang What If? by Cody Fry together. Afterwards, they had an amazing guest star, Ethan Rennaker from Madison High School, sing a splendiferous number with the middle schoolers. Everyone who performed did an amazing job showcasing all of their hard work this trimester! Dance-It held an eventful showcase today. It starred many soloists from our school. The dancers were flexible, creative, expressive, and passionate. Their hard work payed off making an outstanding preformance!

On Saturday February 4th, the Voltage Aquatics swim team in Idaho Falls competed in the Igloo Meet. It was in Twin Falls, Idaho. A lot of people from the team competed. Teams from all around Idaho came to compete. At Thunderidge High School, Eagle Rock Dance Studio hosted a Winter Dance Showcase. Multiple Studios performed including, Dance Divas, and Dancer's Edge. They got to show their dances and see what corrections they made. It was a great performance.
The ballet nutcracker was performed by the rexburg arts center and the asistent livings.
the dances were beautiful and fun because there were ages 3-102 performing Idaho Ballroom Academy (IBA), along with other Ballroom companies, had their first competition of the season on December 2nd. There were lots of people, and everyone did a great job! With competitions like these, it's hard to talk to everybody, so I interviewed one person. Rebecca Gwilliam a 17 year old senior at Madison High School, and started Ballroom in 5th grade. At the competition, she competed in Tango, Mambo, Bonus Swing, Youth Championship Latin, Youth Championship Standard, and All-Stars (special needs) Tango and Swing. She also performed in a show routine. Rebecca placed first in Mambo, 5th in Tango, 3rd in Swing, 2nd in Youth Championship Latin, and 1st in Youth Championship Standard. She and all of the dancers did so amazing!!! Written by Hanna Mecham
