What's your question?

Do you ever feel like you need to listen to music to calm down cause I do. Does music help with panic attacks? I would like to know.

Mr. Bobcat:

Hello Music Villain! I understand where you're coming from, and trust me when I say music definitely helps. It's a way for us to escape the scary stresses of the world. Sometimes life feels like an endless black hole--we feel empty, scared, stressed, and blind. Music is a way to escape that darkness, it is an amazing coping mechanism for when you're stressed. We also use music as comfort. Listening to music is a way to leave all of those distractions going on around you behind. Depending on the tempo of your music, it can automatically slow down or speed up your heart rate, blood pressure, and breathing. Music can control the amount of stress hormones that our body releases, and reducing these hormones can calm down your anxiety. Panic attacks are a very scary thing, and when you do feel stressed, sit down, listen to music, breathe, and focus on the bright side that you will find within your song.
