What is your question?
I have very heavy periods and some of my teachers wont let me go to the bathroom during class. but I don't really want to explain what's happing. what should i do?

Mr. Bobcat:

Dear Blue Lemon,

Mr. Bobcat backed out of this one, so Ms. Bobcat is filling in! If your teachers are not letting you go to the bathroom to take care of your period, then you need to talk with your teacher about it. If that isn't possible, talk to Mr. Gentile, Mrs. Larue, or even your parents about it. I know that periods suck--all girls know what I am talking about--but it is nothing to be ashamed of or embarrassed about. You don't have to be blunt if you're shy, but you can simply say, "I need to go to the restroom. It's a little bit of an emergency." If the teacher isn't letting you go, please go to a principal and let them know. You have a right to self-care. We're all in this together!

Ms. Bobcat
