I am a new student who just moved. I had a really good friend group at my old school and now I have no one. I have met some people but I don't know if we are actually friends or not. I want to be able to hangout with them, how do I know if we are actually friends?

Ask them if they want to hang out and see if they start to talk about people and if they are saying good or bad things about the people in your friend group but don't try to get them to talk bad about them and ask questions about them and try to get to know them better and be in conversations try to relate with them and be yourself.
