On March 27th, I went to the Madison High School Choir Concert. They all sounded amazing! The groups singing were Vocal Spectrum, Testostertones, Shades, Musettes, and Belcantos. They all sang very beautiful songs and at the end Musettes and Belcantos combined. It was so cool!

Last night on May 8th, the Junior High bands performed in the Spring Concert. The 7th grade band performed The Invincibles by John Edmondson, At Waters Edge by Gary Gilroy, and Covington Square by James Swearingen. The Percussion Ensemble performed Again by John Herndon, and Freerider by Patrick Speranza. Before Freerider, the Concert Band played Tower Bridge by Robert Washburn, Ammerland by Jacob De Haan, and Declaration, Ballade, and Finale by Ed Huckeby. After Freerider, the MJH Winds played Basses On A Rampage Arr. by Brant Glover,Homeward Bound Arr. by Brant Karrick, and The Great Locomotive Chase by Robert Smith. Then at the very end, all of the bands played The Greatest Showman, Arr. by Paul Murtha. All of the students played amazing and performed beautifully. The music sounded gorgeous. Dancers Edge had a recital last Saturday at the Junior High School. It had all types of ages, from cute little 3 year olds, to elegant and amazing-dancing High School students. It was really cool to watch all the dancers, along with soloists and duets. They all did amazing!
The play starts by introducing some the main characters, Miss Scarlet, Mrs. Peacock, Professor Plum, Mr. Green, Colonel Mustard, and Mrs. White walk in to have a dinner with Mr. Boddy. They have all done terrible and crimeful things, and Mr Boddy apparently has blackmail on them. He gives each of them a unique weapon and tells them that if they kill Mr. Boddy’s butler, Wadsworth, then he will get rid of the evidence of their crimes. Suddenly the lights go out and you hear the gun go off. When the lights turn on Mr. Boddy is dead. You then go on a journey to find out who killed him, if there is a murderer on the loose while the police are on their way. On the journey you meet the maid Yvette, who also plays a large part in the play. There are several people who get killed, along with a plot twisting ending. It was a very eventful and intriguing play and I really enjoyed it! After the show, they did a thank you thing for the Drama teacher who is retiring.
Idaho Ballroom Academy (IBA), along with many other ballroom companies, competed March 20-23. Lots of teams competed, and they all did awesome! The IBA competition team competed four routines and placed 1st in all of them! That makes them 4x National Showdance champions! IBA's Bonze lift team placed 6th, the Silver lift team placed 1st, and the Gold lift team placed 1st as well. There were a lot of other IBA teams that competed, and they all placed very well! All of the dancers from every company did absolutely wonderful and made their coaches super proud. Good job dancers! Written By Hanna Mecham
Our 7th, 8th, and 9th grade orchestra had their second trimester concert yesterday! They did great on all of their songs. There were also a couple of 7th grade chamber groups, and they were amazing! Great job Bobcats!
By Merla Bake and Sadie Packard This trimesters choir concert was like nothing I've ever see. The normal choir class sung "To the Sky", "Homeward Bound", and when they sung "Take Me Home, Country Roads" they had the guitar class accompany them. The select choir sung "Scarborough Fair", "Vuelie", and "Shenandoah". There were two group solos that sung "When She Loved Me" and "Once Upon a December". There were also two solos that sung "Empty Chairs at Empty Tables" and "Evangeline". To close off the night Mrs. Keppner combined both choirs to sing "You Will Be Found" which was the most beautiful moment of the night. By: Talia Cherrington and Hanna Mecham
On Tuesday the 27th the 5th and 6th graders from the middle school came to the Jr. High auditorium and performed. Both grades each performed a couple of songs each, and then they sang What If? by Cody Fry together. Afterwards, they had an amazing guest star, Ethan Rennaker from Madison High School, sing a splendiferous number with the middle schoolers. Everyone who performed did an amazing job showcasing all of their hard work this trimester! Dance-It held an eventful showcase today. It starred many soloists from our school. The dancers were flexible, creative, expressive, and passionate. Their hard work payed off making an outstanding preformance!
