On Thursday, September 16th, the Madison Bobcats freshman football team had a blowout win against Bonneville with a final score of 60-14. “I thought we played pretty good; I mean there is stuff we can clean up and perfect before playing Highland,” Coach Aaron Peterson said to the team after the game.

At the end of the first quarter the score was 33-0 with Hazen Torgeson leading the team down the field. Some of the key plays in the first quarter were when Carson Barrett blocked a punt and Ezra Sutton returned it to the endzone. Another key play was when Porter Cottle ran about 50 yards for a touchdown beating all of the defenders.

At the end of the half the Madison Bobcats were leading 48-0. In the locker room at half-time Eli Wills said, “We need to keep our foot on the gas and finish this game.”

At the start of the second half Madison came out and scored a very quick touchdown and that pretty much sealed the game. Bonnevile answered back with a touchdown at the end of the 3rd quarter. At the start of the 4th quarter, it took Madison a while to score another touchdown. Bonneville quickly scored and that was the last time they scored in the game with a final score of 60-14 Madison.
