School Clubs
Here at Madison, we have something most students have been asking for. No, it isn’t Mondays off or a day where we have all-you-can-eat ice cream–it's clubs! “But how do they work?” you may ask. Well, my dear friends, I am here to help!
How Do They Work?
With clubs being such a new experience people have questions like, “How do I join a club?” or “How do I know that this club is right for me?” Today we will answer a few of those questions. Let’s start with what they are exactly. Clubs are student-run, but this doesn't mean that there are no teachers allowed. Each club is required to have a teacher to sponsor the club. If you want, you can have your teacher help with setting up activities and help supply the items you need for activities. If you have any questions, ask the teacher in charge of the club! If you are interested in finding clubs you can ask the student council or the librarians.
How do I Make a Club?
“Wow, these club things sound great! How do I make one with my friends?” Well, it is easy to get an application in the library. Once you fill it out, you’re almost done! But there are a few rules that all clubs must follow: All club applications must be turned in to the librarians or the student council, and all clubs must accept everyone, or else it just won't fly. It must be school-appropriate obviously. That's all you need to know about the Clubs!
