Cheer Competition
By: Taylee Stock.
Madison is a very very sports invested school. We focus a lot on the students and their interests and many of us believe it or not, love Cheer; and yes, Cheer is a sport. On Saturday, December 3rd, the 7th and 8th grade Cheer Team and the Freshman Team drove almost an hour and a half to Pocatello high school for the Idaho Cheer and Dance Classic Competition. The 7th and 8th grade team won 2nd in show and the freshman team won 1st in both pom and show. First was our show routines. The 7th and 8th grade team went first and unfortunately during maybe 3/4ths of the routine the music played for a few seconds when it wasn't supposed to and they didn't restart it so the moves were off count. This was really really unfortunate for the girls but other than that it was an amazing routine. Madison freshman went last for the show routines and everything went smoothly, only one stunt did not hit but we brought it straight back up. Freshman went very last for the pom routines but everything looked great there and we had almost no problems. Go support your cheerleaders!! Here are some pictures from the event-
