Autumn in Rexburg

Living in Rexburg can sometimes be a bore because of how small it is, but during the fall we have some pretty fun things going on! I'm gonna rate them and give you some great information on these fun fall activities! I’ll be rating the places by family friendly, scare factor, and overall quality.

First up is the Tree House Nursery Pumpkin patch. It's a good place to take your family with lots and lots of pumpkin. There are tons of activities such as a giant slide, a pumpkin canon, hay rides and more! I’d rate this place a 10/10 for family friendly, a 1/10 scare factor (only because some people can be scared of the slide) and 8/10 for overall quality because sometimes there are a lot of wasps. It is located at 3265 W 2000 N, Rexburg, ID 83440 in the Hibbard area.

Next we have Hemming village’s Hocus Pocus, a fun carnival near Porter Park. The activities include a costume parade and contest, trick or treating, donuts, and more! This is a great activity for families with young children especially the costume parade. I’d rate this a 10/10 for family friendly, a 1/10 for scare factor (there are lots of big crowds which can freak some people out) and a 7/10 for overall quality. There's alway things happening and there's even a headless horseman! It is located at Hemming village in Rexburg, Idaho on the Saturday before Halloween. It will be from 5pm-9pm this year.

The next event gets a bit spooky. It's the Rexburg Straw Maze and at night it turns into a haunted straw maze. Like any other straw maze, it's a great family place to take kids or friends but beware because when the sun goes down the ghouls and ghosts come out making the maze a haunted maze. The haunted maze is one of the many spooky attractions in Rexburg with lots of spooky actors and jump scares. It's definitely not as scary as some of the activities in the fall but there are points in the maze that make your skin crawl. I'd rate it a 5/10 for scare factor, a 7/10 for family friendly (during the day) and a 6/10 for overall quality. The straw maze is located at 7600 South 2000 West, Rexburg, Idaho. This is just south of Rexburg in Archer. It's open Monday through Saturday and it costs $15-6 dollars depending on what you buy. The more expensive price is if you attend when it’s haunted. There are also food trucks and a snack bar.

The last spooky place is the Haunted Mill. This is one of the scariest haunted houses in east Idaho. It is a true fright. It's a large building with lots of lore and amazing actors. Even our very own Mr. Daybell works there every night! It's a fun place with lots of spooks! The line can get a little long but it's definitely worth the wait. The Haunted Mill is located in southeastern Idaho in the town of Teton, just 1/4 mile north of Go-C-Go. They’re just 3 and 1/2 miles from Exit 339-which is less than a mile north of Rexburg. It's a great place to take your friends and family (maybe not the littles). I’d rate it a 10/10 for scare factor, a 0/10 for family friendly and a 9/10 for overall quality. The actors are great, the employees are helpful and nice and there's even a snack bar!

Those are my favorite fall activities! Get out there and have some fall fun before it snows!
