Announcements 11/5

• Freshman football players: you can’t go to the high school to work out until after Thanksgiving break. That is when we start our off-season plans.
• From the library: The downtown Madison library has lots of after-school programming for teens, including a Game and Chess Club, a Teen Anime Club, Teen Dungeons and Dragons, the Madison Bibliomaniacs Club, a Harry Potter Escape Room, and the Young League of Writers. This month our local author Josh Allen will be conducting a class on poetry and verse with the Young League of Writers. For more information, look for the posters near the library.
• ​Please join us in the library on Monday for Maker Morning. We will be making clay pendants. They would make great holiday gifts!
  
• There will be an FFA meeting for all junior high students on Monday immediately after school in Ms. Bucknell's room. We will be discussing upcoming events and measuring for FFA jackets.
• Here is an update on the food drive: The 8th grade is in the lead! The administrator for the winning grade gets to pie the administrators of the two losing grades in the face during the Wish assembly in December, so don't let Mr. Carlson win! Our goal is 3000 items before Thanksgiving!
• Attention all 9th Grade Cross Country team members: The 2021 team photo will be taken at the beginning of Second Hour on Monday, November 8th. Come to Mr. Robbins' room. Team members will wear regular school clothes.
• Next week, the 10th and 11th of November, there will be a Pirate’s Dice tournament in the Aux Gym classroom. Sign-ups are by the library and in the Aux Gym Classroom. See Mr. Allison with questions.
• Freshman Football Players, there will be team pictures right after school on Monday, November 8th in the main gym.  Check with Coach Petersen on what jersey to wear. If you want to purchase team or individual pictures, please bring your sports envelope with you on Monday and give it to the photographer.  If you lost your sports envelope there are  more in the office.
• This announcement is for all students. Next week, you will be able to make changes to your 2nd and 3rd trimester schedules.  ClassChoice will open on Monday, November 8th, and close on Friday, November 12th, at 2:45 p.m.  You will NOT be able to make any changes to 2nd trimester after that date.  If you don't know how to get into ClassChoice, talk to one of the counselors or go to the Madison Junior High website and find the Counseling/Registration page.
